Play Golf
The English Golf Union (EGU) is the largest governing body in English sport established to promote, encourage and administer amateur golf in England. The EGU is committed to providing opportunities for all standards of golfers, from beginners of any age to elite players – European Tour golfers such as Justin Rose and Nick Dougherty have developed through the EGU structure.
Golf is a stimulating challenge combined with getting out in the fresh air in pleasant surroundings, played alone or in groups by people of all ages and abilities. Many opportunities exist to play golf at over 1900 facilities in England, so why don’t you give golf a go!
If you want to ‘Get into Golf’ the EGU can provide information on venues that offer free taster sessions, what equipment you require, where to play, how to score, how to obtain a handicap, how to join a golf club, education & careers and opportunities for juniors…and much much more.
